The Doro PhoneEasy 520X is a simple device that offers a basic handset experience plus a couple features that critics believe would appeal to seniors or those with an outdoor lifestyle. Visually, the phone has a standard candy bar design with a 2" screen and keypad underneath. Critics point out that the display can't compete with the high resolutions available on smartphones, but note that it is bright, easy to read and large enough to make calls and send messages.
The Doro 520X has all the features you'd expect from a phone, call and SMS functionality, with a few extra bits included for good measure. To the back you'll find a 3 megapixel camera, which will be perfect for snapping the grand children getting themselves in to mischief, and the flash also doubles up as a torch. To the left of the camera lens you'll find the loudspeaker and the Assistance button.
The mobile market is awash with lots of phones that one can do all manner of things with. We can book a taxi, book a holiday and keep up with friends and family at a tap of a screen. Sometimes though that is all a bit too much and you may just want to have the simple options of calling or texting someone to say hello, you're thinking of them or just to hear that reassuring voice of a loved one.
